Before joining the staff at The Clachan in 2006, our Chefs, Gillies and Yvonne Contier worked for six years at the renowned Glenelg Inn where they received great acclaim for producing what was considered to be the best bar meals the West had to offer. It is no surprise therefore that we are delighted to now have them working at The Clachan.

Homemade soup of the day with crusty bread

Chargrilled focaccia with fresh mozzarella, pesto, roast tomatoes & marinated peppers

Two large hand dived local scallops, pan fried with garlic & chive butter, salad & crusty bread

Fresh local squat lobster tails served in a ½ pint glass with herbed mayo and lemon wedges


Main Course

Fresh large prawn brochettes, caught locally in the creel, chargrilled with garlic and parsley butter, served with crusty bread, chips and mixed salad

½lb Aberdeen Angus beefburger, big floured bap and chips

Crisp, ‘Ale an Donan’ beer battered haddock with chips and peas

Highland blue cheesecake with chips and mixed salad

Homemade local venison lasagne with chips

8oz Scottish sirloin with oven baked mushrooms, battered onion rings,
grilled tomatoes and chips

Roast chicken and vegetable flaked pastry pie with mashed potatoes

Rack of lamb with mashed potatoes and a vegetable, red wine and rosemary stew

Forest mushroom, leek & parsley flaked pastry tart with chips & mixed salad

Whole tail, breaded scampi with chips and lemon wedges
